Set your buy box so the verdict is yours

Updated 2026-07-02

Two investors can look at the same deal and disagree, because they're buying for different reasons. In Settings → Thresholds, you encode your standards as a "buy box," and every verdict is measured against it.

Try it 0/1

  1. Change your DSCR minimum and watch the deal re-grade
See it? Same deal, different verdict: because the buy box is yours.

What you can tune

You set the good / workable / bad ranges for the metrics that decide a deal:

  • Rent-to-price ratio, DSCR, break-even occupancy
  • Cash flow per door (separate targets for single-family vs. small multifamily)
  • Percent of ARV, cash-on-cash, IRR, and cap rate

BuyBox ships with sensible defaults, so you can analyze immediately and tighten them as your strategy sharpens.

What your thresholds drive

Your buy box isn't cosmetic. It controls three things at once: the colors on every metric, the Risk Flags that name what's failing, and the Deal Score + verdict. Set it once, and every future analysis is judged by your rules. See it in action in Reading your verdict.
